Born in the early 90's comes Alicia Riley (Aka Jem Starr). She comes from the Caribbean island of St. Thomas, Jamaica. Jem Starr currently represents the tough streets of Brooklyn, New York. She moved here with her parents Norma and Leonard,  many years ago from Maryland. Listening to the rhythms of her Caribbean roots, music has always been played in her household morning, noon, and night. As a young teenager, she found creating music was a form of relief that enabled her to channel her artistic creation of rhyme. Once she realized her ideas could be transformed into lyrical art forms of expression, she began to develop her skills in the studio. Recording with experienced veteran rappers such as Blak Seed and Mr. Prez, Jem Starr is developing her own style and format to the female rap game. As a talented lyricist, she possesses strengths in songwriting, producing and dance. Jem Starr is inspired by many great artists and performers such as Aaliyah's humbleness, Missy Elliot's style, and Biggie's true wisdom of the hood.  Building towards stardom and fame she transforms her magic pen and paper, into a digital recording the people can enjoy listening to. The fans find Jem Starr's music extremely motivating, because she shares personal secret's, feelings, and her life.
